File Uploads & Storage

Data Retention & Deletion

General Policy

Active Accounts
- While an account remains active:
  - Uploaded files are securely stored.
  - Backup metadata is retained to support restore and synchronization features.
Free Trial Accounts
- Free trial users may upload and store data during the trial period.
- After trial expiration:
  - Data may be temporarily retained.
  - This allows the user to upgrade to a paid plan or delete the account manually.
Inactivity & Expired Trials
- If a free trial expires and no paid plan is activated:
  - Email notifications may be sent to the registered email address.
  - Notifications inform the user about trial expiration and upcoming data deletion.
  - A grace period is provided before permanent deletion.
Account Deletion
- Account deletion may occur:
  - When the user deletes the account from within the app.
  - After prolonged inactivity following trial expiration.
- Upon deletion:
  - All uploaded files and backups are permanently deleted.
  - Associated metadata and account information are removed.
  - Authentication records are deleted.
  - Deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone.
Retention After Deletion
- No personal data or files are retained after deletion.
- No backups of deleted data are kept.
- Limited data may be retained only if required by law or for security compliance.
User Control
- Users can delete their account at any time from within the app.
- Deletion requests are processed automatically.
- All associated data is removed within a reasonable timeframe.
